Is There Any Therapy For Autism?
The best evidence for treating ASD symptoms is behavioral therapy which has become broadly accepted among healthcare professionals and educators. The most famous behavioral treatment for children with autism is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA therapy is used to help children with autism and other developmental disorders improve their skills and live better and more fulfilling lives.
What is ABA Therapy?
ABA therapy is based on the science of learning and behavior and it is used to help children with autism and other developmental disorders live better lives and reach their maximum potential. Applied Behavior Analysis focuses on teaching the necessary skills and stopping dangerous behaviors. It uses several methods to enhance positive behaviors and make the learning process enjoyable while diminishing behaviors that can harm or delay the childโs development.

In-Home ABA Therapy
One of our expert BCBAs and RBTs will come to your home for Applied Behavior Analysis.
In-home ABA has several benefits. First of all, the sessions occur in the childโs natural environment which reduces the time the child needs to adjust to a new unfamiliar environment.
Also, with Home-based ABA therapy, the child can build a relationship with the therapist easier in a comfortable and safe space for it. Finally, you as a parent can inspect and learn during the therapy sessions, which can help you better understand how to support your childโs skill development.

Ashlee Highley – BCBA
My journey into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began when my son, Daymon, was diagnosed with autism at two and a half years old. At the time, in 2009, I was told that if I wanted access to ABA services, I would have to leave the stateโthere were simply no providers available in Indiana. That moment changed everything for me. If no one else was going to help Daymon, I decided I would do it myself.
At the time, I was an Art major at Ball State University, but my sonโs challenges inspired me to change my major to ABA so I could better support him. I started as an unpaid intern in 2009, eager to learn and make a difference. By 2010, I was working as a therapist, gaining hands-on experience in the field. My passion and dedication only grew stronger, leading me to earn my BCaBA in 2015 and, ultimately, my BCBA in 2017.
Looking back, my journey was never just about a career changeโit was about advocating for my son and ensuring that he, and others like him, received the support they deserved. Today, I remain deeply committed to empowering individuals with autism and their families, ensuring they have access to the resources and care that once felt out of reach.
